Meet Terry Bond, MBACP
In-person counsellor in Basingstoke, working with men who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start.
I offer a calm, confidential space where you can slow down, be heard and make sense of what’s going on for you.
Why I work with men
Many men are used to coping, carrying on, and keeping things to themselves. Therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you are not used to talking about what is happening underneath. My aim is to make that step feel a little easier.
A calm, human approach
I am a person-centred counsellor, which means our work is led by you. I will not tell you what to do or judge what you bring.
My role is to listen, support and help you explore what’s happening so you can move forward in a way that feels right for you.
Experience of pressure and burnout
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years in the corporate world. I understand the pressure to perform, the weight of responsibility, and the quiet strain that can build when you feel you have to keep going.
Professional standards
I am a registered member of the BACP and hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, along with a BACP Certificate of Proficiency. I also continue to develop my practice through training in bereavement, men’s mental health, suicidal ideation and nature-based therapy.
