Burnout Counselling
Support for men who feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or unable to keep pushing through.
Burnout can build slowly. You may have spent a long time coping, working hard, supporting others, and keeping everything going, until your energy starts to run out.
You do not have to wait until you reach breaking point before asking for support.
Feeling exhausted, even after rest
Losing motivation or drive
Struggling to switch off from work
Feeling detached, numb, or disconnected
Getting irritated more easily
Finding it hard to concentrate
Feeling trapped by pressure or expectation
Wondering how much longer you can keep going
You do not have to keep pushing through
Burnout can leave you feeling worn down and disconnected. Counselling gives you space to stop, breathe, and begin to understand what needs to change.
What burnout can feel like
Burnout is more than feeling tired after a busy week. It can leave you feeling flat, detached, irritable, and unable to recover properly, even when you rest.
Having spent many years in the corporate world, I understand how easily pressure can become normalised, and how difficult it can be to admit when you are struggling underneath.
You might still be functioning on the outside, while privately feeling worn down and distant from yourself.
Counselling gives you space to stop, breathe, and look at what has been building up.
We can explore the pressure you have been carrying, how burnout is affecting your life, and what might help you begin to recover in a way that feels realistic.
How counselling can help
Slow down
Create space away from constant pressure.
Make sense of burnout
Understand what has been building and why.
Reconnect with yourself
Notice what you need, not only what others expect.
Move forward
Look at what needs to change at your pace.
Indoors or outdoors, your choice
You can choose the setting that feels right for you.
A calm, confidential therapy room at The Grosvenor, Basing View, Basingstoke. This option gives you a private space to sit, think and talk things through without distraction.
Private room counselling
A less formal way to meet, walking side by side in green spaces around Basingstoke and Alton. Some men find this helps the conversation feel easier and less intense.
Walk-and-talk counselling
Both options are fully in person, and both are built around you.
